In 2008, the U.S. Congress established April as National 911 Education Month. The goal of this monthlong campaign is to educate the public about how and when to dial 911, emphasizing local technological capabilities such as text-to-911 and Enhanced 911.
During this month, we also take the opportunity to thank our Public Safety Telecommunicators for their service. Use the downloadable files below to celebrate 911 dispatchers during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and to educate your community about 911 services.
