Many renter’s insurance policies help protect your personal possessions in the event of theft or damage. It's usually required if you live in an apartment, however, Military Housing does not require residents to obtain renter’s insurance, but strongly recommends that all service members maintain coverage based upon their own assessment of the amount of property and liability coverage needed to protect their own interests.
