JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - U.S. Marine Corps Col. David Merles, commanding officer of Marine Corps Support Facility Blount Island, discusses Fire Station 48 Aug. 19, 2026, following the station’s opening ceremony on Blount Island in Jacksonville, Florida.
