Presented to an organization that has taken outstanding measures to educate and inform their community about Emergency Management. This award is presented to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Mission Assurance Department. Representing his department is Manuel Enriquez, the Installation’s Emergency Specialist. The Mission Assurance Department partners with Yuma and La Paz Counties Red Cross to provide earthquake classes and drills to members at the base. They also invite students from Arizona Western College to visit the EOC, as well as children from the local community, “Yuma Young Marines”, to pass out disaster preparedness literature on base. The Ready, Set, Go, and Emergency Preparedness pamphlets are provided by AzDEMA, which is kept in high-traffic areas all over thebase for accessibility.
