The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) cadets supported MCAS Yuma's, National Preparedness Month (NPM) Campaign. The cadets and staff members are from Yuma's Composite Squadron 508. The CAP cadets received a class on Disaster Preparedness, as well as the NPM campaign. On 10 Sept 16, the cadets manned a display of items that could be part of a Disaster Preparedness Kit (Go-Kit). These displays were both set up at the entrance of the MCX and the DeCA commissary. As part of the CAP Charter, CAP covers several emergency services areas. The principal categories include search and rescue missions, disaster relief, and humanitarian services.
