Navy, Marine Corps Partner With Industry, FEMA to 3-D Print Face Shields

Marine Corps Logistics Command Albany, GA - Dax Alday, left, and Mathew M. Morris, right, Production Plant Albany, Marine Depot Maintenance Command remove printed face shield frames from a polymer printer while at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, on 27 March. MDMC utilized 3D model files provided by Marine Corps Advanced Manufacturing Operations Cell to produce the face shield frames in response to an urgent request for protective equipment for healthcare personnel working with COVID-19 patients.
