Throughout September MCAS Yuma has been promoting readiness as part of the National Preparedness Month campaign. The Installation has posted signs around the base, set up emergency kit examples, and organized displays of emergency items for purchase at the Commissary. Whether it be drought, wildfire, flooding, or the flu, MCAS Yuma is making it easy for you to find the tools you need to be prepared. National Preparedness Month culminates this Friday with National PrepareAthon! Day. In his presidential proclamation, President Barack Obama said, "We launched America's PrepareAthon! to bring communities together and help them plan for emergencies, and on September 30, we encourage a national day of action to spur preparedness efforts from coast to coast."
